Discussion about the experiments

The videos that we have seen are the illustration of the lecture. In this one the author, Stanley Milgram, explaine very clearly  his experiment about the obedience. He shows how the pleople obey when they feel like they have a lot of pressure or stress. It seems so clear but is strage what the "experts" think before the experiment, they think that persons aren't so influenceable.
The other videos were very funny and they just continues to indicate that the experiment was right. They show how a person "follows" other even if he doesn't agree with them.  It's shocking all the reaction that we see in those videos,  they're only a few people who do whatever they think is correct without obey others.

The ideas may change with all the discussions that are made in class because nobody thinks exactly like other person. When we talk about something with somebody that have other culture or they're from other country they're different points of view about the subject. In this discussion about authority and conformity, each person says what they're thinking but not with the intention of change the thoughts of somebody else. In my case, they're many opinions of other classmates that make me think about mines.

  2. Hi Paula,

I like how you point out that the classroom is a space for multiple perspectives. I agree--I also hope that, from time to time, we do come to influence each other. I worry about students (or teachers, for that matter) whose views never change and whose perspective are always confirmed. Nice work!
