Videos about awareness

Did you see the gorilla or not? What about the other clips? Talk a little bit about you experience this morning.

The first time I see the video, I was only concerned about the number of passes that the people do. I never see a gorilla passing of one side to other side. It’s very clear when you are looking for something to happened, when you are worry about one specific thing the other became “seconds in the line”.

The other clips, for me, are different. For example the one with the flashlights, for me it was difficult to see it because I was searching the details. If you see it in a extend way you may find more easily what your looking. After I saw the first one of those with the flashlights, with the second was easy because I knew what I was looking for.

With the clips in which the things disappear very slowly, for me it was the one of the most hard to find which thing disappears. I was thinking about the details, so the first time I couldn’t see it. In the videos of this group, when I looked them the first time, I couldn’t see what I was looking for.

The last one was also difficult but more easy that the previous one. When you focus on what’s changing it’s more hard that if you just look at the hole picture.

Discussion about the experiments

The videos that we have seen are the illustration of the lecture. In this one the author, Stanley Milgram, explaine very clearly  his experiment about the obedience. He shows how the pleople obey when they feel like they have a lot of pressure or stress. It seems so clear but is strage what the "experts" think before the experiment, they think that persons aren't so influenceable.
The other videos were very funny and they just continues to indicate that the experiment was right. They show how a person "follows" other even if he doesn't agree with them.  It's shocking all the reaction that we see in those videos,  they're only a few people who do whatever they think is correct without obey others.

The ideas may change with all the discussions that are made in class because nobody thinks exactly like other person. When we talk about something with somebody that have other culture or they're from other country they're different points of view about the subject. In this discussion about authority and conformity, each person says what they're thinking but not with the intention of change the thoughts of somebody else. In my case, they're many opinions of other classmates that make me think about mines.
